Account Check Service
Overview
Azupay's Account Check Service (ACS) helps businesses check whether payment details align with information held by the recipient's bank before funds are sent. It supports stronger payment controls across onboarding, payout, refund, claim, rebate, and supplier-payment workflows.
ACS is designed to help reduce fraud and scam risk, prevent misdirected payments, and lower the operational effort caused by incorrect or inconsistent payee details.
Account Check is most useful where you need stronger assurance before sending funds, especially for first-time payees, updated bank details, higher-risk transactions, or regulated payout flows.
Account Check methods
Account Check supports two checking methods:
- Confirmation of Payee checks BSB, account number, and account name details before payment. It is useful where your workflow already collects or stores bank account details.
- PayID matching checks PayID details before payment. A PayID can be checked for reachability, or checked alongside linked BSB, account number, and account name details when your workflow needs stronger validation.
